Delete your account

This page explains how to permanently delete your PaceBudget account and all associated data. There are two ways to do it depending on whether you can still sign in.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently and irreversibly remove:

  • Your authentication record (email, password, sign-in history)
  • Every transaction we have synced from your linked banks
  • Your spending categories, classification rules, budget configuration, and pay schedule
  • Your fixed obligations / bill reminders and payment history
  • Your bank connections and all encrypted access tokens (Plaid, Teller, SimpleFIN)
  • Your subscription record and Stripe customer (if applicable — your card information was never stored by us)
  • Any chat history with the in-app assistant
  • Your push-notification device registrations

This action cannot be undone. There is no soft-delete or recovery period.

Option 1 — Delete instantly (recommended)

If you can still sign in, this is the fastest path. Sign in, open Settings, and use the "Delete account" section at the bottom. You'll confirm with your password and the deletion runs immediately.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you can't sign in (lost password, lost device, etc.) submit your account email below. We'll verify your identity and complete the deletion within 7 days. You'll receive a confirmation email when the deletion is complete.
